Thank you to those WHO have already made a contribution to our legal defense fund. Lawsuit expenses have overtaken our Reserve Cash and Shalimar Association needs legal funding from you.

The Shalimar Country Club (golf course owners) filed suit to on June 20, 2010, claiming ownership

of a parcel of land known as Tract B, which is owned by the Shalimar Association. This property is located along Balboa Drive between River and Cairo (at the North side of the Golf Course).

  • We believe that Shalimar Association’s ownership of this property is very critical to keep the golf course from future development, as it is a point of ingress and egress to the property.

  • To protect our interests and ownership of this property, the Shalimar Association has filed a counterclaim to this quiet title action. Our attorney is confident of winning this legal battle; however the litigation costs will run about $15,000 or more. Although we are asking to have legal fees reimbursed upon winning the lawsuit, we must pay our lawyer upfront for all costs.

  • The Shalimar Association has contributed and paid almost $9000 to date to defend our right to hold our property. Our profound thanks to all of you who have shouldered the legal burden.
